What Washington is doing to curb Huawei's rise is starting to show up in data, especially outside China.
But Huawei continues to dominate the global telecoms equipment market, still close to the size of Ericsson and Nokia combined, thanks to its cost advantage and strong demand from the domestic Chinese market.
At present, Huawei, ZTE and Ericsson are among the top three in the market share of 5G main equipment in China, with Huawei holding 59% , ZTE holding 30% and Ericsson 6% .
